Upgrade Notes

This page lists breaking TrueSeal releases as trueseal-sync ADR-0033 requires. Every breaking 0.x release carries a “Breaking” section with upgrade steps, published in the changelog, on the GitHub Release and here. A release with no entry breaks nothing.

Fixed labels

Use these strings verbatim when reporting or searching for these breaks.

• “every device and the relay must upgrade together” marks a release that changes the Transport Version or the End-to-End Version (ADR-0022). Upgrade the relay and every device. Across a Transport Version bump, mismatched clients get relayVersionUnsupported{min, max}. Across an End-to-End Version bump, peers raise heldForUpgrade(version) or unreadable(senderOutdated).
• “local data is wiped and every group must pair again” marks a Store Reset (ADR-0032). Expect statusChanged(notJoined, storeReset) on every upgraded device, then pair again. See Upgrades.
